Black Ops 6 Season 5 is aiming to be one of the final seasons before we really dive into the cycle of the next COD.
Zombies, however, is still pushing along as the brand new map, Reckoning, is arriving at launch, and it brings a brand new Wonder Weapon.

Black Ops 6 Season 5 Zombies New Wonder Weapon Gorgofex: How It Works, and More
Black Ops 6 Season 5 is going to be adding the final map for Black Ops 6 zombies before we dive into the new title, and there's a ton to explore.
Not only are there going to be new easter eggs to solve, there's also a brand new Wonder Weapon in the form of the Gorgofex.
The new Aether-based weapon strikes heavy similarities to the Ray Gun, but we're stoked to see how powerful it truly is.
In terms of how it works, they've noted the following:
The Gorgofex fires what appears to be a slug of Aether-based energy.
- On impact, this inflicts a dense area of direct damage with a tight area of effect. The damage of the impact varies depending on whether the user charges the attack before release.
- Shortly after impact, energy from a fully charged blast dissipates outward, inflicting damage in a wide area.
- The dissipation seems to cause a focused temporary gravitational anomaly, catching and incapacitating enemies to float at just above head height.
- More research is required, but it appears two additional variations have been uncovered...
