Borderlands 4 Will Feature Individually Scaling Difficulty For Multiplayer

Borderlands 4 aims to lure fans back into the series, and with key changes to the core gameplay compared to Borderlands 3, it's looking good for 2K.

However, for those diving into the game with friends, they've implemented a handy feature that won't slow down your group's progress if you're stuck at certain points.

      Here's what we know.

Borderlands 4 Will Feature Individually Scaling Difficulty For Multiplayer

Borderlands is a series we all know, or have at least tried in the past, and we're stoked to get back in the action.

While most of the time when playing a game similar to Borderlands, a lot of the struggle can be if you find yourself having a skill gap between you and other party members. While this isn't an issue, as everyone excels at different games, Borderlands 4 will offer the ability to individually change your difficulty while playing multiplayer.

This means that one of you could be playing the game on the hardest difficulty, while the other players are on easy.

All of the difficulty options per 2K are as follows:

      • Difficulty (set when creating a new character, scales individually in co-op parties):
        • Easy: "Looking for a story." Reduced damage, Elemental Affinities matter less
        • Normal: "Looking for a balanced experience."
        • Hard: "Looking for a challenge." Increased damage taken, increased Cash, Loot Quality is increased, Elemental Affinities matter more
