Time to go to war
Call of Duty: Vanguard's multiplayer is set to upend the established metas of Cold War (and Warzone, of course). What worked in the previous game may not in the latest iteration.
To ensure you’re still dominating opponents up close and at range, we've compiled a list of the best multiplayer loadouts for Call of Duty: Vanguard that breaks down which guns work best in every situation.
Einhorn Revolving
The Einhorn Revolving shotgun is quickly becoming a staple choice in Vanguard. It combines the stopping force of a shotgun with the firing speed of, well, a revolver. Best of all, it's available right from the get go. While the base shotgun is already great, the right modifications make it an absolute demolisher. Here's what you're going to want to equip:
- Muzzle: M97 Full Choke
- Barrel: Mark VI Skeletal
- Stock: VDD Hunter
- Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
- Magazine: 16 Gauge 7 Round Cylinder
- Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
- Perks: Ghost, Radar, Lightweight
- Lethal: MK2 Frag Grenade
- Tactical: Stim
This build gives you more ammo while trying to keep the rest of the shotgun balanced. With the damage the Einhorn is capable of dishing out, more shots simply means more chances to get kills.
STG-44
The Einhorn Revolving shotgun is quickly becoming a staple choice in Vanguard. It combines the stopping force of a shotgun with the firing speed of, well, a revolver. Best of all, it's available right from the get go. While the base shotgun is already great, the right modifications make it an absolute demolisher. Here's what you're going to want to equip:
- Perks: Ghost, Radar, Lightweight
- Lethal: Throwing Knife
- Tactical: Stim
- Barrel: VDD 760MM O5B
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: Konstanz Tactical
- Underbarrel: M3 Ready Grip
- Magazine: 8MM Kurz 45 Round Drums
- Ammo Type: FMJ Rounds
- Rear Grip: Fabric Grip

Overall, this loadout is about using precise aim and making the most out of your shots. The FMJ rounds have added bullet penetration, increasing the viability of the gun overall.
Cooper Carbine
The Cooper Carbine is a solid assault rifle all-rounder. It has great speed and decent accuracy, and since it's been released into Vanguard, there's been a new meta revolved around this weapon. If you're looking to use this weapon, here are the attachements that you'll need:
- Muzzle: F8 Stabilizer
- Barrel: 22" Cooper Custom
- Optic: MK.8 Reflector
- Stock: Cooper Custom Padded
- Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
- Ammo Type: Lengenthed
- Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
- Proficiency: Vital
- Kit: Fully Loaded

Your Barrel choice will be the 22" Cooper Carbine, as it bolsters the weapons damage and fire rate, and this combined with the Cooper Custom Padded boost the overall accuracy of the weapon.
MP-40
The MP-40 is the optimal sub machine for Vanguard multiplayer. It's quick to aim down sights and has a high rate of fire to boot. The key for this loadout is to keep the gun mobile and capable of switching from hip fire to ADS swiftly as you move around the map. Here's the loadout to make it shine:
- Muzzle: F8 Stabilizer
- Barrel: Krausnick 317MM 04B
- Optic: G16 2.5X
- Stock: VDD 34M
- Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
- Magazine: Any
- Ammo Type: Subsonic

- Kit: Quick
- Perks: Ghost, Tracker, Double Time
- Lethal: Gammon Bomb
- Tactical: Stim
With this loadout, you'll be able to track enemies, sprint to their location, and unleash a torrent of bullets their way before they ever catch onto you.
Type 100
Love them or hate them, SMGs are still king for the most part within Vanguard, and the Type 100 has been touted as one of the best overall weapons. The SMG can be crafted into one of th best weapons into the game with the following attachements:
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: Warubachi 134MM Rapid
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: Shiraishi Weighted
- Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
- Magazine: None
- Ammo Type: Lengenthed
- Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
- Proficiency: Gung-Ho
- Kit: Quick
- Perks: Ninja, Radar, Double Time
- Lethal: Gammon Bomb
- Tactical: Stun Grenade
While this is a somewhat conservative build, the Type 100 can outclass the MP40 if you are using it correctly!
