FIFA 23 TOTW 2: Predictions and Release Dates

EA Sports FIFA 23 release date is fast approaching and whilst the game might still be quite a way off from launching we need to start preparing for those all-important Team of the Week Predictions.

For anyone who doesn’t know, the developers have made a habit of releasing the game’s first Team of the Week (TOTW) squads before the game’s proper launch.

This typically gives any FIFA 23 Web App and FIFA 23 Companion App users something enticing to unpack and sell on the Ultimate Team transfer market in the lead-up to launch on consoles and PC.

What Is The FIFA Ultimate Team ‘Team of the Week’?

If this is your first time playing FIFA Ultimate team, here’s a quick overview to explain how Team of the Week cards work.

In short, every Wednesday EA Sports announce a squad of 23 players who are considered the best-performing footballers from the past weeks round of football fixtures. Following the announcement, EA release this squad as new ‘In Form’ Ultimate Team cards with boosted stats and altered card art.

Understandably, they’re less rare in FUT packs, but if you do manage to unpack one, you’ll be over the moon. In addition, each Team of the Week squad is available to play in the game all season long.

When does FIFA 23 TOTW 3 Release?

The game’s first Team of the Week squad dropped on September 21 with the release of the FIFA 23 Web App.

Every subsequent TOTW squad will drop in-game every Wednesday.

Normally the Ultimate Team TOTW players are announced on a Wednesday at 3pm GMT on EA Sport’s FIFA social channels (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc). We then see the TOTW players made available from FUT packs from 6pm GMT the same evening.

It’s impossible to say with any certainty who could be included in the Team of the Week 2 squad, however, we can give some fairly decent predictions to guide you.

The TOTW 2 starting 11, substitutes, and reserves will all be picked from the most recent round of international fixtures.
