Overwatch 2 most recently showcased some of the features coming to their game in the coming months at the annual Blizzcon.
With heroes such as Venture being teased for Season 10, Mauga has now joined the crew, and Blizzard has been tinkering with the tank in the leadup to his competitive release.
Speaking of competitive, here’s when Mauga is going to premier in competitive in Overwatch 2.
When is Mauga Coming to Competitive in Overwatch 2
While Blizzcon 2023 has passed now, players got to check out the brand-new hero, Mauga during the initial weeks of Season 8, and players have voiced their concerns with how strong or weak the tank has been throughout the time they’ve had to play Mauga.
Now, we’re nearing the portion in the season where Mauga is going to be joining the crew in competitive, as Blizzard have noted that he’ll be playable in competitive starting on December 19, 2023.
However, Alec Dawson, lead hero designer, noted that they’re going to buff him once more to see if they can get Mauga perfectly aligned with the other tanks in Overwatch 2.
So, be sure to log in on December 19 after the weekly reset, as this is when players will finally be able to play the brand new tank in competitive in Overwatch 2.
